Short films have been created by me to practice different types of filming, ideas, testing new cameras etc... They are not very long but they have taught me how to improve my filming ability!
One Pill Kills One Pill Kills is all about how fentanyl can be in any medication when you don' t know what you are taking. I used happier music so that it would throw people off watching. Then when the pill is taken, the music shifts to sirens and then silence with information about fentanyl.
We Don't Heal In Isolation But In Community A teacher needed some support so I grabbed a whole bunch of people in school and made them hold up a heart. The music was calm and slow, and the clips of people holding the heart were very short. But overtime there were a ton of people in the video so there were many clips. The end I did short cut words where I would film a paper everytime I added a letter so it looked like the letters were just appearing.
Memories of Love This was my first short video practice. I wanted to mess around with editing. So I made my parents sit at a table and pretend to have dinner then lean in for a kiss and right before kissing my mom "disappears" and its just my dad sitting alone.
The Power of Eyes In part of my research I learned about close up shots and they are typically used with eyes. So again I grabbed a whole bunch of people and made them stand and look around while the camera was focused on their eyes.
Yolanda Takes on the Capital This video was taken one Sunday afternoon and we were just working with different angles and camera movements. Was just to mess around with the camera!
